Ian Milan - Tech Intern

Programming Instructor & Aspiring Entrepreneur who loves using technology to solve complex problems. I believe that technology over the last 10 years has grown to be immeasurably important in our lives. In order to continue building the future we need to stick to our roots, with people first and technology by our side.

Work Experience

I have worked with my parents as a part-time assistant to make sure daily tasks get carried out in a timely and precise manner.

Mavin has helped me greatly in understanding where I want to take my career and has inspired me to learn as much as I can.

Being a student employee with the Laker Esports Center has been an amazing experience and is playing a key role in my career on campus.

Working with Code on Wheels to show young kids the abilities of a computer just as I had once been taught is something truly exceptional.

My Education

I attended Northview High School in Grand Rapids, MI and graduated as the Business and Computer Department Honoree in 2021, having attended since 2017.

Currently I am attending Grand Valley State University and on my way to a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Computer Science. I am expecting to graduate in May of 2025.

Personal Projects

My first project was an easier way to get things done. Remembify, the name of my idea, is now a mobile app for creating and completing tasks.

As an LEC Staff member, I had insight on how students would check in. After my first month, I had developed a webapp for students to check in easier.

An idea from my family, "Secret Santa" is to make getting gifts easier. The app maintains your wish list and allows you to view and get items on somone else's list, without letting them see what's coming. Currently WIP.
